Fall is here! The leaves are turning orange, winter scarfs are out, and Halloween is just around the corner. Nothing screams “Halloween” like a party. Get your friends and family into the holiday spirit with a Halloween garage party. Read more to learn about how we can help you throw a spooky Halloween party everyone will be talking about.

Clean up your garage- If you haven't done so already, check out these 5 organization steps for your garage. Garage cabinets will help you put your items out of sight and organized. You can use your garage cabinet counters to place your punch bowl and Halloween decorations

Pick a theme- There are plenty of Halloween party themes to choose from. Choose from haunted, ghost, horror, fairytale, costume, etc. You can also choose themes from your favorite movies. For example, Harry Potter or Alice in Wonderland. The choices are unlimited. Choose whether you want a kid-friendly theme, classy, or horror theme for your guests. Make sure to decorate your Halloween garage party according to your theme. Hang some black tarps, black lights, spider webs, and some skeletons to set the scary mood. Add some tombstones, haunted paintings, and any other spooky props you may have to fully decorate your garage.

Invitations- Make sure to send out your invitations 1-2 weeks before. Include your theme in your invitations to make sure your guests come dressed for the spooky occasion. Include the date, time, and address.

Music- Party up and dance to some Halloween favorites like Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”. Make sure you have a playlist ready so you won’t be playing DJ all night. Hang up a disco ball or lights to create a DIY dance floor.

halloween-foodTreats and more treats- Eye balls anyone? What’s a party without treats? Decorate your snacks to fit your party theme. Have a “bloody” punch bowl, cookie fingers, eyeball candies for spooky snacks. If you want to serve some lunch, perhaps serve your guests some “bat” stew and have a variety of different crockpot soups they can choose from. Or go with a classic spaghetti and meatballs to represent internal organs.

Activites-

  • Create a murder mystery that all your guests can be a part of. Create clues to help your guest find out which who is the murderer.
  • Have a costume contest and a prize for the top 3 winners or however many winners you want.
  • Plan a little trip to your local haunted house or maze to keep the Halloween fun going.
  • Play a little game of Pin the Wart on the Witch (similar to Pin the Tail on the Donkey)
  • Have a pumpkin carving contest

Movies- Search through your TV listings to find Halloween-themed movies playing in October. Another option is to check on Netflix for Halloween classics, horror, or kid-friendly scary movies. Dim the lights, have the popcorn ready, and enjoy your favorite Halloween movie to end your party.

Now enjoy your Halloween garage party and have a horrific time!
