Keep Bugs Out of the Garage In 8 Easy Steps

Homeoeners not only need to prevent the insects from getting in the garage, but also need to kill the ones already taking up residence. . If you’re suffering with garage pest infestation, here are a number of methods to take.

2 . Remove food temptation

Make sure there is no possible food temptation. Sweep or vacuum up any pet food that has fallen on the floor. If you are want to store food in the garage, place them in airtight containers.

A lot of people will use boxes to store food in the garage, which grow pests. So it's a must for you to keep bugs out of garage boxes. The best way to keep pests from overtaking your storage unit is to keep the place clean and to use weather tight containers.

Start by sweeping the floors. Then use the broom to remove spider webs along the walls. Lastly, look for corners of moisture and dry them with a portable fan because insects thrive on moisture.


4.Remove existing pests

Pests and roaches may nest your food or shelter and underneath any old cardboard boxes or clothing piles for roaches or other insects. Unfortunately, if your garage did suffer from a pest infestation, call a pest control company (ADAM’S PEST CONTROL, INC.)to deal with it.

Preventing pests from getting in is the best way to stop pests from inhabiting your garage. Any cracks in the foundation, walls, ceiling, floor, or any gaps near windows are high potentail place for pests to enter. 6 . Check your garage door

Most garage doors have a huge opening through which insects of all kinds will take advantage. Using a weather-stripping or rubber seals  can help to keep insects out. You can usually buy them at any hardware store or Amazon as well.

7.Spray Bottom Baseboards

You can spray the bottom baseboard of your garage on the inside and the outside with an insecticide or powders so that any insects that come into contact with it will be immediately killed. But you must be careful to use it or its storage if you have young children or pets who may have toys lying around or who play in the immediate area. 8.Lay traps

There is not enough to use pesticides work. Laying traps throughout the garage to catch any pests that break through your garage can be a good reinforcement. Don’t forget to check your traps often and change the traps regularly.
