Your garage is a great place to store overflow items from your home. However, it’s important to understand that not everything should be stored in your garage, even if you have custom garage cabinets. Here are the last three items in this blog series you shouldn’t store in your garage:

Item #7 – Wooden Furniture

We understand if you’re into furniture restoration. It’s a great way to spend time and make some extra cash on the side. Nonetheless, storing wooden furniture in the garage could lead to a few undesirable results. Humidity will soften the wood, which makes it easier for pests and termites to use the wood as a home. The uncontrolled garage temperature will also negatively affect the wood, contracting and expanding it until it eventually cracks or warps. In some cases, wood that is warped or split is beyond repair.
